How it works

Three steps. Zero cost to you.

We do all the work. You just leave the calculator out for your mail carrier.

1

Tell us where to send the mailer

Fill out a quick form with your name and address. Takes under a minute. No account needed.

2

Get a free poly mailer in 3–5 days

We ship you a padded mailer with a prepaid USPS return label already attached. Nothing to print, nothing to figure out.

3

Drop your calculator in. Done.

Slide your calculator inside, peel and seal, and leave it for your mail carrier. We refurbish it and get it into a student's hands.

Why this matters

A $128 calculator is the cost of admission to high school math.

A graphing calculator isn't optional. It's required for Algebra II, Pre-Calc, Calc, AP exams, the SAT, and the ACT. If your family can't afford one, you can't fully participate in the class — and your grade pays for it.

Meanwhile, the calculator you used in 2014 is in a junk drawer right now. We're closing that loop.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered

What calculators do you accept?
Anything that runs. TI-83, TI-84, TI-89, TI-Nspire, Casio FX series, HP graphing, even basic scientific calculators. If you're not sure, send it anyway — we'll figure it out.
What if my calculator is broken?
Send it. 80% of "broken" calculators just need fresh batteries or a screen wipe. The rest become parts donors — we use them to repair others. Nothing is wasted.
Is Calc 4 Kids a nonprofit?
Calc 4 Kids is a mission-driven LLC. Donations are not currently tax-deductible — but every calculator you send goes directly to a student who needs it, and we keep our overhead low so the math works.
Who actually gets the calculators?
We partner with Title I high schools, after-school tutoring programs, and community math nonprofits to distribute calculators directly to students who can't afford to buy one. No middlemen, no resellers.
How much does the mailer cost me?
Zero. We cover both the outbound poly mailer and the prepaid USPS return label. You don't pay a cent, and you don't need a printer.
I have 20+ calculators from my classroom. Can you help?
Yes — that's a bulk pickup. Email hello@calc4kids.org and we'll arrange free freight pickup for boxes of 10 or more.
